Air Pollution

An April report from the American Lung Association concluded that air quality in the majority of American cities with the most smog or soot pollution has improved. Of the 25 cities most polluted by smog, 18 had their lowest smog levels since 2000. And 17 of the 25 cities with the worst annual soot levels saw their lowest-ever levels, including Los Angeles, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati. The association credits the Clean Air Act passed in 1963 for the improvements.
