The 2014 Chevrolet Spark EV
Though the Spark has been available in a gas version, the new Spark is the first all-electric car for Chevrolet. Mark Reuss, president of General Motors of North America, called it “our happy little Chevy,” and its compact, sporty design exemplifies that tone. GM promises its range will be among the best in its segment, though it wouldn’t disclose how far it could go on a charge. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 in under eight seconds and it’s the first car to charge using a fast, 240 volt charging station, allowing 80 percent of the battery pack to be charged in 20 minutes.
