It’s hard not feel some sympathy for the people involved in the making of this film. Clearly a labor of love for Andrew Stanton, a Pixar director responsible for the massively successful Finding Nemo and Wall-E, the film was based on one of the seminal novels of early science fiction, The Princess of Mars, written by Tarzan author Edgar Rice Burrows.
