Look, there’s no way to sugarcoat this…by and large, the Asian teams are going to be cannon fodder in this Cup and, with the possible exception of Iran, none more than Australia (which, yes, FIFA lumps in with “Asia”). A team composed of has-beens and never-will-be’s (and not enough of them), things are not looking up for the Aussies.
Players to watch: Tim Cahill...I guess.
Prediction: No wins. In all likelihood, it will be embarrassing.
