Ohio’s tax rates look pretty low. But it made it to the worst states for taxes list this year because of a change in the Tax Foundation’s methodology. The group now penalizes certain states for how they treat LLCs and S corporations. Ohio’s income tax rate doesn’t look too bad, but it gets dinged for having 10 brackets (the Tax Foundation prefers a flatter tax structure).
