Steven Holl, the architect of the building wanted to create a building that would soak up the light from the sun to illuminate the building. With 350 residences, a 125-seat theater, a giant ball pit to play in, a night café and street-level dining, Simmons Hall is by far one of the most interesting and fun college dorms in existence.
