Ted Stevens, Senator (R-AK)

Stevens was convicted of seven counts of bribery and tax evasion October 27, 2008. He then lost reelection. Newly appointed US Attorney General Eric Holder dismissed the charges "in the interest of justice" stating that the Justice Department had illegally withheld evidence from defense counsel.
