1) Colorado
10.5 percent increase in home prices
Home prices in the Colorado again increased the most in the U.S. in October. That comes as home sales across the state slowed for the fourth straight month, falling 10 percent from September. Sales volume is also down 2 percent versus last year. Denver, the state’s capital and biggest city, posted the second-largest year-over-year gains in home prices, rising 10.9 percent, according to the Standard & Poor’s/Case-Shiller home price index.
