15. Suicide Squad – (Aug. 8, Warner Bros. Pictures)
Much like Fox with Deadpool, DC is trying to branch out its comic book offerings by trying something darker that is distinctly not for kids (though arguably, neither were the Nolan films). The story is based on a popular DC series in which the Joker and a team of minor league Batman villains are basically forced by the government to form a dirty dozen to take down an even bigger evil. This is mostly a chance for the studio to resurrect the Joker from the Heath Ledger memorial, and the first screen appearance of fan favorite Harley Quinn (played by fan favorite Margot Robbie).
