6. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (Mar. 25, Warner Bros. Pictures)
With the sole exception of the Christopher Nolan/Christian Bale Batman films, DC Comics has run a distant second to the Disney-fronted Marvel Studios. Now, by making frenemies of their most famous characters, DC hopes to msucle in on the Avengers box office action. It’s no secret that this film not only features a much-discussed showdown between the two superhero heavyweights, but also introduces Wonder Woman and will be the gateway to a series of Justice League of America films (DC’s version of the Avengers). They just have to hope it works.
