Low gas prices have been putting the brakes on green vehicle sales, since there’s less financial incentive to purchase them. That may change this year with the introduction of the Chevy Bolt, the 2017 Green Car of the Year. After tax incentives, the Bolt will cost around $30,000, making it the first affordable, long-range electric vehicle on the market. Tesla’s Model 3, expected to hit markets next fall, will have a base price of around $35,000.
