8.1 percent increase in home prices
Single-family home sales in the Sunshine State slipped less than a half-percent in the third quarter from a year ago, according to the latest data available, while townhouse and condo sales dropped 4.3 percent. October saw larger declines, largely because of shrinking inventory, which has kept prices from cooling.
