Rand Paul (R-KY) has been a bit of a Scrooge in this year’s GOP presidential contest but on Wednesday the senator raised his spirits as he celebrated the parody holiday of “Festivus,” taking to Twitter with a series of grievances about his fellow White House rivals.
For the agnostics out there, the faux “Festivus” holiday on December 23 gained public attention in a 1997 episode of the TV show Seinfeld.

Here’s what the dedicated libertarian had to say about his 2016 GOP opponents.
1. Paul chided Republican frontrunner Donald Trump for his use of a vulgar, Yiddish-derived word to describe Hillary Clinton’s 2008 primary loss to Barack Obama.
Where to start but @realDonaldTrump. If u bring the Yiddish, know what it means. Guess that's more of a kvetch than a grievance #Festivus

(For the record, Trump says the word is not “vulgar.”)
2. He also seemed to endorse Trump’s other new critique of Clinton, about her holding up the last Democratic debate because she was returning from the bathroom, an incident the former reality TV star called “disgusting.”
.@CarlyFiorina has ZERO trouble making it back from commercial breaks @HillaryClinton. Just saying. #Festivus #waronwomensrooms

3. Paul, an ophthalmologist who hasn’t shied away from arguments on the debate stage, poked fun at retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson for his low-key performances.
I have no grievances against my fellow doc @RealBenCarson because I have not heard a word he has said in any debate. #Festivus

4. The Kentucky lawmaker dinged his colleague Marco Rubio (R-FL) for his poor attendance record in the Senate, a line of attack Rubio seems unable to quash.
to my absentee friend @marcorubio, I didn't put your $170k+ salary in my waste report today. But I could have #Festivus

5. And Paul aired a grievance with Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) for being born in Canada.
My friend @tedcruz has still not pledged to issue exec order declaring Canadian "bacon" is not real bacon. Makes me suspicious. #Festivus
