The Big Crawl

Anne Schlachter, a 20 year-old student bites into a grasshopper in Berlin March 11, 2002. The eastern Berlin restaurant 'Soda' has begun to offer various insects such as grasshoppers, worms and crickets on its menu under the seasonal motto "The big crawl begins". A grasshopper meal called "The Flying Dutchman" is served on curry rice and vegetables for about 8 euros, or $11 dollars.
