Room for More

Airbus, the European aircraft manufacturer, is developing a new line of planes with an unusual configuration: The aisle seats would be extended two inches to accommodate overweight passengers, but at the expense of an inch of room for everybody else. What’s more, the plus-size seats will go for plus-size prices. According to the Daily Mail, Airbus estimates that each aircraft could earn more than $2 million over 15 years of service if they charged a mere $8 extra for the larger seats.
