Furloughed Workers Spend Days Off Volunteering
Furloughed employees across the country are spending their days off volunteering around their communities. In Florida, non-essential workers from the Kennedy Space Center have been cleaning up beaches along Florida’s coast. In North Carolina, Environmental Protection Agency employees have been pruning trees and picking up trash along the highway.
