Grocery Store Donates Gift Cards to Food Banks
Food Lion, a popular grocery store chain, donated $500,000 in gift cards to food banks across North Carolina on Wednesday after the state announced it would be suspending its Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) because of the government shutdown.
