Since the 2003 invasion that toppled Saddam Hussein, the U.S. has been helping to rebuild Iraq’s military. A few years back Iraq purchased 140 General Dynamics M1A1 Abrams tanks, more than two dozen of which may have sustained damage during battles against ISIS, reports Defense One. The Congressional Research Service in a July report put the cost of these tanks at about $6 million each.
