Advanced Dungeons & Dragons (S2, E14 – Feb. 3, 2011)
It’s one thing to make running jokes about Die Hard, Star Wars and Goodfellas, but table-top RPGs are a whole other level of nerdiness, and Harmon tackled it with both feet. In an effort to befriend a lonely and potentially suicidal fellow student, Jeff ropes the gang into playing D&D with “Fat Neil” (the big reveal is that Jeff gave him the nickname) despite the fact that none of them really know how to play. That they all get way too into it is a given (particularly, delightfully, Annie). That the show manages to wring so much from it is what makes Community remarkable.
