13) White Heat – 1949
Coming back to the genre as a middle aged man, Cagney still has all of the fire that made his Public Enemy so potent. As a gangster just released from prison and ready to get back to the game, Cagney does first-rate crazy here, and his final scene is one of the classic endings in Hollywood.
