9.4 percent increase in home prices
The number of pending sales in Oregon’s largest city, Portland, was the highest for the month in ten years. Closed sales increased 9.2 percent versus last year, but were 9.7 percent lower than in September. The city also posted a 10.1 percent increase in home values, the third-largest increase among the 20 cities tracked by the Standard & Poor’s/Case Shiller home price index.
