9 percent increase in home prices
Days of record rainfall in early October slowed the pace of sales by more than 5 percent in the Palmetto State during the month. New listings also fell by 9 percent, while inventory was down 6 percent. That lack of supply helped to push up prices, even as buyers dealt with near biblical levels of flooding.
