The Fiscal Times used rankings from Consumer Reports to create the best investment firms list for small investors. CR surveyed 118,662 small investors about 67 investment firms. TFT included the firms that received a reader score of 80 or above, represented they were very or completely satisfied with the firm’s services. The service scores range from 1 (worse) to 5 (better) and are based on CR’s test results.
