For a much better time, Sam Raimi makes a second appearance here with his Southern gothic murder mystery, “The Gift.” Blanchett plays a backwoods tarot card reader who might actually have some real psychic powers. Though mostly remembered these days for Katie Holmes’s nude scene, it is honestly an enjoyably trashy genre piece with a star-studded cast.
